Computer science and technology, which began to enroll students in 1982, focuses on the fields of finance, business and the Internet, emphasizing the combination of students' computer system programming ability and knowledge of modern service industries such as finance. In 1998, it was granted the right to grant a master's degree in the second-level discipline of computer application technology. In 2010, it was approved by the Ministry of Education with the right to grant master's degree of Computer Science and Technology first-level subject and the right to grant master's degree of "Electronic Information" engineering; In 2020, it was approved as the construction candidate of "National first-class undergraduate major"; In 2022, it passed the expert review of the self-assessment report of engineering education professional certification.

The program has established the first CCF student branch of a university in Beijing to promote innovative education through expert reports, student participation, microcode competitions and other activities. In recent years, students have won one national special prize (first place) in a number of national computer competitions, and several first, second and third prizes, testing and improving students' technical ability, expression ability and team cooperation ability in an all-round way in actual competitions and projects.

There are 17 full-time teachers in this major, including 5 professors, 7 associate professors, 4 lecturers and 1 postdoctoral fellow. This faculty has won 1 second prize of Beijing Education and Teaching Achievement Award, 2 second prize of Beijing Science and Technology Award, and many awards from China Electronics Society and other organizations.
