About CAAI

The School of Computer And Artificial Intelligence (School of Cyberspace Security) is committed to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education. With a focus on core technologies such as artificial intelligence, food safety big data, and agricultural product supply chain and traceability, the school leverages the university's strengths in business, food, and light industry to cultivate research-oriented talents with a background in new engineering and technical expertise. It has established a distinctive teaching and research-oriented college that offers a full chain of talent training, from undergraduate to master's, doctoral, and postdoctoral levels, serving the industry, the capital, and the whole country.

The school currently has a doctoral program in Systems Science, as well as five academic master's programs in Systems Science, Control Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, and Management Science and Engineering, and a second-level academic master's program in Material Physics and Chemistry. It also has three professional master's degree authorization points in Electronic Information (including Computer Technology, Control Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Technology and Engineering, and Network and Information Security), Mechanical Engineering, and Engineering Management (Logistics Engineering and Management).

The school currently offers 11 undergraduate majors: Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Information Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Automation, Electrical Engineering and Automation, Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering, Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering, Information Management and Information Systems, Electronic Commerce, and Big Data Management and Application. Among them, five majors are national first-class undergraduate major construction points: Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Information Engineering, Information Management and Information Systems, and Electronic Commerce; six majors are Beijing municipal first-class undergraduate major construction points: Software Engineering, Information Engineering, Information Management and Information Systems, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, and Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering.

The school has rich teaching experience and cultivates undergraduates and postgraduates with solid theoretical foundations, comprehensive professional knowledge, and strong practical abilities, well meeting the needs of the country and Beijing for information talents. Graduates have broad employment prospects. In recent years, the school's graduates have achieved high employment quality and social satisfaction, with many working in well-known domestic enterprises and industry leaders, such as large state-owned enterprises and state-owned enterprises (Beijing Electric Power Company, China Civil Aviation Information Network Company, China Electronics Technology Group, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, etc.), scientific research institutions (China Institute of Atomic Energy, Data Communication Science Research Institute, Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing Research Institute of China Telecom, etc.), high-tech enterprises (such as Baidu, Tencent, Xiaomi, Lenovo, etc.), financial institutions (Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Beijing Bank, etc.), and government agencies and public institutions. Employment areas are mainly concentrated in Beijing and other economically developed cities and regions.

Graduates continue to pursue further studies to improve themselves. Some undergraduates are admitted to first-class universities in China (University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, etc.) or are admitted to well-known universities abroad for further studies. In the future, the school will continue to focus on the urgent needs of national and capital economic and social development to cultivate more high-quality talents for the country and society.
